 Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh is the son of Balbir Singh, a prominent business magnate in Delhi who leads the longstanding family steel company, "Swastik Steels." Vijay's family consists of his father Balbir, mother Jyoti, grandfather Rajdheer Singh, and his sisters Reet and Roop. Despite Vijay's deep admiration for Balbir since childhood, his father's demanding schedule causes neglect and harsh treatment towards Vijay. This strained relationship reaches a breaking point when Vijay, in an act of defending his sister Reet from bullies, brings an AK-47 to school. In response, Balbir sends him to a boarding school in the United States.

Years later, after completing his education, Vijay returns to Delhi and becomes entangled in the engagement of his former schoolmate, Geetanjali "Geeta" Iyengar, whom he has loved for a long time. Vijay persuades Geeta to break off her engagement and chooses to marry him. However, tensions rise during Balbir's 60th birthday celebration, leading to a conflict with Reet's husband Varun, resulting in Vijay being ousted from the family home. He relocates to the United States with Geeta, and the couple builds a happy life together, welcoming two children, Abhay "Monu" and Sonu.

Eight years later, Vijay learns that Balbir has been shot by unidentified assailants. He returns to India to uncover the truth behind the assassination attempt. Vijay enlists the help of his cousins in Punjab and orchestrates a plan involving a decoy for Balbir, who is killed by Asrar Haque's men. As the investigation progresses, Vijay discovers Varun's involvement in the plot and confronts him, resulting in Varun's death. Vijay's pursuit leads him to an encounter with Asrar Haque and his masked assailants at a hotel, where a fierce battle ensues, leaving Vijay severely injured and in a coma.

Upon awakening, Vijay discovers he has heart failure and urgently needs a transplant. After finding a suitable donor, he recovers successfully. However, he learns that the donor was manipulated by Zoya, who was sent by Asrar's mute younger brother Abrar to gain Vijay's trust. Vijay engages in an affair with Zoya, but later discovers her true purpose. Asrar's motive for the assassination attempt is revealed: a property dispute stemming from Balbir's denial of a share to Asrar's father, Azim Haque.

Vijay, realizing the connection between his family and Asrar's, learns that Abrar and his brothers are his cousins, grandchildren of Rajdheer's estranged younger brother Shamsher Singh. Shamsher's shady dealings with "Swastik Steels" led to his banishment from the family, ultimately causing Abrar's trauma and muteness. Vijay traces Abrar to Scotland, where he eliminates his men and forces his wives to disclose Abrar's location. A confrontation ensues on the runway, culminating in Vijay's victory over Abrar.

During Diwali celebrations, Balbir reveals he has terminal cancer and acknowledges his role in Vijay's troubled upbringing. Balbir apologizes and reconciles with Vijay, marking a significant moment of familial love and understanding.

In a post-credits scene, Asrar's other brothers, Aziz and Abid, plan vengeance against Vijay and his family, setting the stage for a potential conflict in the future.
